Hello Joy was born inspired on the book Choose Joy by Kay Warren, and the question “How can one find happiness again when you feel the worst had happened?” Grief is something we all go through at different levels, and it affects all areas of our lives including the very ones that could helps us get through it; like music, art, and connecting with others.
The story of Vince is meaningful to us, because we’ve all been him in one sense or the other. And by we, I mean the crew who worked on this project. We’ve had very close loss, we’ve had family and friends struggling with mental health, we’ve pushed aside our passions, our art, and kept moving through the motions numb and disconnected at different times.
But sometimes it takes one person, one line, one book, one song, or one movie, to help you see things in a new perspective and offer a glimpse of hope. And thats the reason we wrote this story.
If you’d like to support us financially here are a few options, every dollar counts. As a starting production company this would be a huge help to help us distribute, and cover the costs of this project.
Please follow our Production Company Gen28. We will be posting updates and would love the extra help liking and sharing our content.
Nothing has more relevance than hearing something from someone you trust, so if you like our project, you're interested in these topics, or you’ve watched the movie please share. And if you want to support us but you're not in a position to help, you may know someone who is. We’re thankful you’ll spread the word!
We want to be very mindful of the topic this film brings. If you or someone you know is dealing with grief, depression, or other mental health challenges here are a few resources.
